Individual & Couples Counselling.

Seeking therapy can be a difficult and vulnerable decision, and there are many reasons that may have led you to this page today.

While I can assure you that therapy is a safe and confidential space where you can find help and support, ultimately what matters most is whether or not I can help you.

My best advice is to reach out and contact me - I am always approachable and kind, and I will do my best to guide you through the process.

Starting therapy, whether it's with a partner or on your own, can be overwhelming, but with commitment and a genuine desire to make a change, it can be a truly life-changing experience.

“Going to see Cleo was life changing: her calm and kind countenance, whilst gently encouraging me to review areas of my life that needed some appraisal, allowed me to resolve personal issues in a much more confident and calm manner. Thank you so much Cleo for encouraging me, to be me!”

Individual Therapy:

I help with:

  • Anxiety & panic

  • Low mood

  • Depression

  • Self esteem & confidence issues

  • Relationship problems

  • Trauma & difficult life events

  • Persistent health concerns

  • Addiction and destructive behaviour

Approach

Our work together is based on the principles of the Person-Centered approach, which means that I believe that you are the expert on your own life experiences. As your therapist, my role is to assist you in understanding the thoughts, emotions, and actions that are causing you discomfort or distress. I listen to you with empathy and reflect on what I hear, while providing compassionate challenges to help you explore your thoughts and feelings more deeply. Through this process, you will achieve greater clarity and understanding of your situation, which in turn will allow you to gain a sense of control over your emotions and your life.

Process

I provide a calm and welcoming environment, where clients can talk freely and at their own pace, without fear of judgment, blame, or criticism. My goal is to provide a safe space where you can feel supported as you work towards feeling better and living life the way you want. Sessions are guided by you, meaning you are in control of what we talk about. Therapy is most effective when committing to weekly or bi weekly sessions, as this provides consistency and continuity in our work together and gives you time to reflect between sessions.

Online or in-person. Weekly or bi-weekly sessions.

Approach

In my work with couples, I draw upon a range of theoretical principles to guide my approach. At the heart of my practice lies the Person-Centered approach, which is based on the belief that, given the right conditions, we all have the potential to grow and change. This is essential to my work with couples, as fostering growth together is key to achieving successful outcomes in therapy. Additionally, I incorporate theories such as Attachment Theory and Transactional Analysis, which focus on, and help clients understand their relational patterns of behavior and communication styles.

Process

Beginning couples therapy can feel overwhelming, which is why I strive to create a calm and professional environment that provides a safe space for exploring the challenges in your relationship. As a couple you determine the focus of our work together. My role is to facilitate a space where both partners can feel heard and understood without fear of criticism or judgment. For effective results, committing to weekly or biweekly sessions is recommended, as it allows for consistency and continuity in our work and gives you time to reflect between sessions.

In-person sessions only. Weekly or bi-weekly.

Book An Initial Session.

I provide all clients with an introductory session that is both affordable and without obligation. This session costs only £15 and is designed to facilitate our initial meeting and learn more about each other.

The primary objective of this session is for you to gauge whether I am the right therapist for you. I always encourage clients to trust their instincts when selecting a therapist since you will be working with this person regularly to explore difficult aspects of your life and relationships.

It's important that you feel comfortable and at ease with your chosen therapist, and this introductory session provides an opportunity to gain that sense of compatibility.

Moreover, this session enables me to understand your therapy goals and determine whether I can assist you in achieving them. If you decide that I am the right therapist for you, we can schedule additional sessions. However, if you decide that I'm not the right therapist, there's no obligation to continue working with me.

If you are interested, simply fill out the enquiry form and I will get back to you within 48 hours to arrange a convenient time for your initial session. It's that easy!
